On 26 December 2015, two service crews of DTEK Donetskoblenergo restored the power supply to Krasnohorivka town which had been cut off since 5 December. The team started repairs as soon as a secure access to damaged facilities was provided. Setting to work in the morning on 26 December, they restored the long-awaited electricity supply back on to residents by 4.00 pm that day.
We remind that a 110kV transmission line supplying power to the town was damaged by the hostilities on 5 December 2015. Since that time, DTEK Donetskoblenergo had no secure access to the facilities to repair them. Meanwhile, 62 transformer substations used a temporary 6kV circuit, which was not enough to meet all power needs of the town.
