On 15 March 2017, DTEK lost control over its assets based in the non-government controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (NGCAs), namely: DTEK Komsomolets Donbasu Mine, Mospinske CPP, DTEK Energovuhillia ENE, DTEK Skhidenergo (Zuivska TPP), DTEK Donetskoblenergo, Tekhrempostavka, DTEK Sverdlovanthracite, DTEK Rovenkianthracite, Electronaladka, DTEK Power Grid, and DTEK Service.

    • DTEK Skhidenergo (DTEK Kurakhovska TPP in Donetsk Oblast and DTEK Luhanska TPP in Luhansk Oblast)

*As of October 2017, DTEK Dobropilliavuhillia, Bilozerska Mine, Dobropilska CPP, Oktiabrska CPP and Kurakhovska CPP operate as normal. The companies have not been damaged by the hostilities in Donbas and therefore we provide no detailed information about them here.

Key Facts and Figures

  • Since the hostilities erupted in Donbqs in May 2014, power transmission lines of different voltage have been damaged and broken more than 15,000 times: DTEK engineers repaired 1,600 damages of high-voltage lines (35-110kV), over 1.500 damages of 35-110 kV power stations and more than 12,000 damages of local 6-10 kV transformer stations. Regrettably, DTEK’s nine power workers have been killed and seventeen wounded during recovery efforts over the time of warfare.
