Ukrayinsky Retail
Ukrayinsky Retail develops SCM’s grocery retail business under the Brusnichka brand in central and eastern Ukraine. Established on 13 September 2006, the chain includes 100 stores located in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Poltava oblasts. Brusnichka chain operates in a “corner shop” format.
Current status
27 stores under TM Brusnichka operate in Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts.
All Brusnichka-branded stores located in the government-controlled areas of Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts operate as per normal:
- In Donetsk Oblast: Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka, Mykolaivka, Kurakhovo, Kramatorsk, Dobropillia, Mariupol, Rubizhne, Artemivsk, Soledar, Bilozerske, Selidove, Svitlodarsk and Avdiivka.
- In Luhansk Oblast: Lysychansk, Rubizhne and Kreminna.
On 18 May 2015, Ukrainskiy Retail suspended operations of 53 stores in the non-government controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts:
- In Donetsk Oblast: Horlivka, Donetsk, Yenakiive, Zuhres, Kirovske, Makiivka, Snizhne, Torez, Khartsyzk, Shakharsk and Yasynuvata.
- In Luhansk Oblast: Antratsyt, Krasny Luch, Luhansk and Yuvileine.
Employees
Employees of the Ukrainskiy Retail stores working in government-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts are paid full salaries according to the Ukrainian laws.
Brusnichka chain has been damaged significantly during the fighting in Donbas as its stores were destroyed, equipment damaged, goods stolen and vehicles demolished.
