Ukrtelecom reports that it has stopped services in the non-government controlled areas of Donetsk Oblast starting from 1 March because of interference with its network and armed takeover of its office.
The operator cannot centrally manage its equipment in the non-government controlled areas of Donetsk Oblast. As a result, the company has disconnected the local lines from the national network. Almost 200,000 people have lost access to Internet and telephone services.
Ukrtelecom reports on the situation to the National Commission for Regulation of Communications and Informatisation, law enforcement agencies and other telecom operators.
